Nothing is known about The Oceanside Maniac's identity, but given that the movie begins in Oceanside, we can determine he was born there. It's likely that growing up, he had suicidal thoughts and would harm himself on the regular. It was then that he would be diagnosed with an unnamed mental illness and be admitted to the Oceanside Sanitarium. He would remain there until June 2014, where he would make his escape, killing 2 doctors in the process. He would proceed to steal a car and attempt to get away, but was hit by an oncoming vehicle. He would then be taken to the Oceanside Hospital where he would soon escape to a nearby resort in Laguna Niguel.
