Bio[]
Nathan Jones was the product of an affair had by a woman named Samantha Wagner. When Samantha's husband found out, he told her that he wasn't going to raise a child that wasn't his. So, he made her choose between him or Nathan. She chose him and as a result, Nathan was put up for adoption. However, when he was three, his adoptive parents returned him to the state for behavior problems. He spent a couple years in an orphanage until he was put in a foster home owned by a pedophile named Simon Campbell. Over the five months he was there, Campbell molested him, leaving him even more emotionally damaged. When allegations of sexual abuse had surfaced, Nathan was removed and put in another foster home, one owned by Martin and Melinda Marlowe.
After two years spent in the Marlowe home, Nathan was again removed after their daughter, Jenna accused him of rape. With no foster homes left that were willing to take him, he was committed to Milburn Juvenile Detention Center where he would face further abuse. In addition to abuse, Nathan was also subjected to a form of controversial therapy known as "Choice Therapy", where the doctor would give him two hard decisions and force him to choose. In one particular incident, the doctor gave him a puppy and told him that he would give him a large amount of money to snap its neck. Nathan was reluctant at first, but when the doctor promised him freedom, he snapped the puppy's neck much to the doctor's horror. Eventually, Milburn was investigated for allegations of abuse after parents noticed bruises on their kids' arms. However, the center's district attorney, Elliot Vincent managed to defend against the claims. Nonetheless, the place was still closed and Nathan was free, but the damage had already been done.
Nathan eventually tracked down his mother and forced her to choose between her own life and her daughter's. She chose to kill herself by drowning in the bathtub. After killing his mother, Nathan attempted to blow his brains out, but the attempt failed and left his face disfigured. Realizing that his life was so tragic all because one simple choice, Nathan became obsessed with Pendleton's therapy and decided to use it in a revenge plot against everyone who he blamed for his horrible upbringing.
