In college, when Kenny was a pledge, members of the college decided to prank him. Alana Maxwell charmed Kenny into going upstairs with her. Thinking Alana was gonna have sex with him, Kenny undressed and climbed into bed, only to find an old woman's corpse they had gotten from medical school. Frightened, Kenny began backing up and spinning, getting himself entangled in curtains. He was taken to the hospital, where he murdered someone, and was institutionalized.
Three years later, the college kids that pranked Kenny were having a New Year's Costume Party on a train. Kenny escaped and followed them. Before they got on the train, Kenny murdered the class clown Ed, and disguised himself in Ed's Groucho Marx costume. While disguised as Ed, Kenny lured Jackson into the bathroom where he smashed his head against the mirror and locked the door. Someone reports the locked door, and Brakeman Charlie opens it and finds Jackson's body, but thinks it's some kind of prank. He goes to alert the Conductor, but when he returns, the blood is cleaned up and Kenny is dressed in the lizard costume.
