In 2010, a writer named Jennifer Hills rents a cabin in Louisiana to work on her new book. Though, the location doesn't seem to be ideal, as a bunch of male locals stalk her. One night, a couple of guys that she saw at the gas station, break into her house and assault her. She manages to get away and run into two police officers out in the woods. One of the officers is the sheriff of the town, and offers to go back to the cabin and check it for the intruders. However, it is soon clear that the sheriff is actually corrupt and is the leader of the attackers.
The group take Jennifer out to the woods, where they rape her repeatedly and are about to kill her. But, she jumps off a bridge and escapes. The group aren't convinced that she's dead and the sheriff demands them to look for Jennifer along the river. Unbeknownst to them, after swimming to the surface, Jennifer hides out in an abandoned house out in the woods. For the next few days, Jennifer uses her absence to terrorize the gang and frame Matthew, before putting her ultimate plan into action. She lures Matthew to the abandoned house, where she chokes him out with a noose.

After her rape and revenge, Jennifer changes her name to Angela Jitrenka and moves to Los Angeles. However, she still suffers from flashbacks and nightmares and ends up joining a therapy group for rape victims. In her group, she meets a girl named Marla Finch who shares similar views with her, and the two become best friends. That is, until Marla is raped and murdered by her ex-boyfriend. Though, the police arrest him, they let him go due to lack of evidence. Feeling that the police have failed and that Marla deserves justice, Angela tracks down Marla's ex, Nicholas Woods, and kills him by mutilating his genitals.
A girl in Angela's group named Cassie was being molested by her stepfather. Earlier, Marla and Angela beat up Ron with crowbars and threatened him to leave Cassie alone. This seemed to work, however after Marla's death, Ron went back to molesting Cassie. After Cassie reveals that Ron's molesting her again, one of the group members named Oscar, yells that there's no justice and that someone should teach Ron a lesson by shoving a metal pipe up his ass. That night, Angela dresses like a schoolgirl and lures Ron to an abandoned warehouse, where she beats him and sodomizes him with a metal pipe.
The next day, the police show up to group and haul away Oscar, believing him to be the vigilante, because of his comment the other day. After being interrogated, Angela talks with Oscar and the two talk about their past. Oscar figures out that Angela's the vigilante and tells her where to find his daughter's rapist. Angela follows the rapist and attempts to stun him with a stun gun, but the rapist is too strong for Angela and attempts to rape her. Luckily the cops, having suspected that Angela's the vigilante, follow her and shoot the rapist. They take her to the police station where they interrogate her, but Oscar walks into the police station with slit wrists and admits that he killed Nicholas and Ron, wanting to keep Angela from being arrested.
