Hunter was once in a relationship with an unnamed woman whom he later married, and the two eventually had a daughter named Angela. Shortly after her daughter’s birth, Angela’s mother suffered from a brain aneurysm that caused her to die suddenly. Hunter was deeply saddened by his wife’s death, however, he slowly began to regain joy in his life as he spent more time with his daughter. One night, a group of teenagers went into the woods near Hunter’s house to throw a party, and the next morning, once they were finished and ready to leave, they entered their car after drinking several bottles of alcohol. As they were swerving down the road near the woods, they were extremely intoxicated, and failed to notice 12-year-old Angela playing hopscotch in the middle of the street. The group of drunken teenagers accidentally hit her with their vehicle, and she was instantly killed on impact. Her father had been nearby, and witnessed his daughter’s tragic demise as he was standing in front of his house chopping wood. After Angela’s death, Hunter became extremely depressed and angry, and decided to live in the forest in isolation, where he would murder anyone who trespassed onto his property or who entered his woods.
