When he was a teenager, he and a local boy named Hicham were secret lovers. One night, Guy's father caught them together in the barn, cut off his son's genitals, and murdered Hicham. He burned the barn down to cover up his crime, but Guy was still alive and managed to escape. He fell into a coma in the forest, but rare birds with extraordinary powers known as White-Eyed Grackles cared for him and guided his soul back to the living, waking him up. However, he had forgotten everything about his past until Hicham started appearing in his dreams. When Guy left the forest and went to the city, he walked into an adult movie theatre and saw a gay porno film which not only resembled his tragedy, but also seemed to make a mockery of it.
