Archie Benjamin was the son of Jack Benjamin, the owner of a fast food restaurant called Hella-Burger. He worked at his father's restaurant as the mascot Horny the Clown, and was often teased by a group of stoners led by Charlie Taylor. Despite this, he had a crush on one of the stoners, Marcia Johnson, and even invited her to his birthday party. Charlie found out about this, and dressed in a Horny mask and carrying a meat cleaver, decided to scare Archie. When Archie tried to run away he fell onto a table holding a birthday cake with lit candles. Archie was knocked unconscious and the candles set the place ablaze. Unaware of the fire, Charlie and his friends leave, later hearing about Archie's death, but never coming clean.
Sometime in 2007, Archie returns from the dead as a deranged, vengeful and more demonic-looking Horny the Clown.
